Office & Lab Space

Spinner Technologies recognizes the need for young technology companies to have access to professional laboratory facilities and office space, and that such ready-to-use space is scarce in the Charlottesville area. This recognition has prompted us to acquire the use of approximately 1200 ft² of UVA laboratory space, and six modest offices, access to which is provided to member companies at reasonable market rates. The laboratory space is located on the UVA grounds, and the office space is a short 10 minute walk from grounds.

Additionally Spinner Technologies has recently contracted with the UVA Foundation to build out an additional 2000 ft² of state-of-the-art laboratory space in the UVA Research Park at North Fork. This space is expected to be available for occupation by member companies early in the spring of 2002. All of the lab space available through Spinner Technologies includes hazardous and radioactive waste removal. We are working with local real estate partners to identify additional laboratory and office space proximal to the university as the need for such space arises.
